Hi,

I've just purchased a new Micro ATC i3 computer with a 300W PSU. This will be used mostly for Netflix etc but also since I have a lot of games on Steam, I'd like to try gaming on it too.

As far as I can tell, I'm very limited in choice due to the size of the case, and the power of the PSU, so I was thinking of these three options:

1. Zotac GeForce GT 740 Low Profile 2GB - £67
Good value, low power consumption, gives me extra cash to purchase an extra 4GB RAM potentially (total 8GB)

2. KFA2 GeForce GTX 750 OC "Low Profile"1GB GDDR5
Possibly a good middle ground?

3. KFA2 GTX750 Ti, 2GB DDR5 1072MHz Core, 1150MHz Boost
Much higher cost, and higher power consumption, but potentially much better performance too, particularly over the 740.

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you :)

You will be absolutely fine with a 750Ti and 300W. A lad at work has a system built with a 750Ti and that is running off a 250w SFX PSU. He is using an i5 3570, 8Gb and 1 SSD and 2 x 3Tb.

That case and psu cost a total of £35.99 here at OCUK and are made by CIT so I think I can safely say that the psu has nowhere near 300w on the all important 12v rail. Personally I would change it for a decent branded one. CIT psu's are abysmal.

Thank you very much both - sounds like the PSU is very noisy unfortunately... :( Not ideal for a HTPC. Will look at alternatives, but this has already gone from being quite cheap to pretty expensive, gah :(
