OK I am after a decent inkjet printer but ink costs are important as I will use a lot. Which printer or maufacturer is best for original inks at a good cost as I find compatibles to be problematic at best.

I've never really had any problems with oem inks, last ones I was using were inkrite and another brand I tried were phoenix.

Both on an old epson C44 for a good coupla years really, only gave up the ghost due to epson deciding my printer had reached the end of its "service" life which really ****** me off to no end. I was looking at a couple fo the recent printers in high street sales at half price (well have what they say is RRP ;)) but the inks are hit or miss on the epsons stating you need printers made before x date in order to use them or you may have trouble. Im not willing to buy a printer to test wether oems are compatible.

As the only thing the printer will be used for is letters Im really thinking of grabbing a cheapy laser printer but again need to work out how economical this is, need a decent laser where the toners are relatively cheap too. I hear the samsungs and brother series are quite decent. not really wanting to spend 100+ though.

I'd just like an idea of which printer is going to be best value on inks and able to print pretty good phot's and text.
