Best value upgrade from 8700k?

Not looking to break the bank, is there anything worth upgrading to that's around £200? Happy with AMD or Intel (assuming no crash bug).

You can get a 7700 for less than that if going AMD. Or... Possibly wait and see what the more budget focused chips are like with Arrow Lake.

Assuming you're gaming, then I'd wait until the 9800X3D is out and try to get a discounted 7800X3D.

Looks like 7700 isn't much faster unfortunately.

You might be able to get a Ryzen 5700 and board for £200~ and reuse the memory. If it’s £200 for just the CPU then 5700X3D or 7700.
