best vga waterblock recomendations

If you just want to cool the gpu with a block and place ramsinks on the ram then there's not much to choose between the DD Maze 4, Aquaextreme MP-1 and the Swiftech MCW 60. There is a review knocking around somewhere that puts them all at roughly the same performance. I have two of the MP-1's as they are only £25.99 each and a tenner cheaper than the other two.

If you want a full coverage block then you have the DD Tyee GPU Block (£82.16), DangerDen X18 GPU Block (£86.24), Alphacool NexXxoS NVXP-3 (£44.99), EK-FCX1800 X1800/X1900 (49.99).

There are a few other full coverage blocks but the above ones are the best. That EK-FCX1800 X1800/X1900 (49.99) is very good value seeing as it is camparable with the DD blocks.

I have 2 Maize4 Blocks which i think are perfect, Im also considering moving to one of the above which also does the raam. Too much cost IMO when a fan is fine over the ramskins.

I've used the mcw60 both for my x1800xt 512mb and my recently bought 7800gtx 512mb. I personally would be ****** if I had to buy a new block every time I bought a new graphic card...

I'm using the AquaXtreme MP-1, great block and cheap :)

those all in one blocks need to be revised every time a graphics card is revised i.e. 7800GTX 256 --> 7800GTX 512MB --> 7900GTX so thats three blocks.

thats what i mean. compared to the danger den mounts. they dont look too sturdy

Looks can be deceptive. Once it's installed it's sturdy enough. Although if you don't screw it down properly then it can easily leak. But that's what leak testing is for.

Huh? You don't have to mount the block for it to be leak proof. If so, that's a poor design! :D
