I'm in the process of making up an order for watercooling my system. Going the custom route but buying the Thermaltake Kandalf LCS.. it's got the tripple rad, 500L/h pump, pure copper cpu block, resivoir and all the piping you need. I want to put my graphics card into the loop as well. Might consider the chipset in the future but right now I just want the CPU and the GPU. I want a watercooler that cools both the GPU and the memory either together or 2 seperate attachments. I've got the accelero X2 i think it's called just now, it's better than stock, but still temps get near the 70's mem and 60's core when in BF2142, clocks are 686/775 on stock volts.
Right the choices on the ocuk site seem to be;
Alphacool NexXxoS ATI X1800XL/XT/XT PE Graphics Card Cooler £43
DangerDen Tyee X1800 & X1900 Block £90
They both seem to cool the gpu and memory at the same time, which is what I want. To me being a watercooling noob they also both look pretty much the same! i'm just wondering if the dangerden is worth double when compared with its cooling capabilities.
I'd really like to hear from anyone that's had experience watercooling X1900's, what equipment they used, how it reduced their temps vs air cooling, and what kind of clocks/temps they achieved using water.

you can get a lot better than that cooling wise.

no point

Why?

DD Maze 5?

Why, cos I need a new case and watercooling.. And for the money it's a good kit. A good brand cooling setup will cost the same as this case does.
I wanted the Kandalf case anyway, and don't tell me I could get a 3fan rad, pump, block etc for the £40 more that the LCS case is than the standard Kandalf.
Does the maze cool the graphics memory and power chips?
I notice the DD Tyee can have the attachment to cool the voltage regulators as well, and mine get pretty hot. As far as i can tell the Maze 5 only cools the GPU itself, which is not what I want.

i use a swiftech MCW60 on my 1900XT, its OC to approx 710 on the core and 1.5 Ghz mem and temps are about 50 on full load 45 idle. On no overclock temps on full load with stock cooler was about 90!

I use AquaXtreme MP-1 on X1900XT-X with Zalman heatsinks on the memory overclocked from 648/774 to 735/850 and after 90mins gaming ATI Tool reading temps of 38c (usually idles at 28-30c).

On the x1900 series, you don't need full cover blocks on - memory doesn't get that hot - so either use heatsinks or have a fan blow over the memory.

;)

If you are buying the case for looks alone then fair enough, I certainly wouldn't but it for it's cooling capabilities but that's your choice. You don't need to watercool the GFX ram, once you take the heat away from the GPU they will run cooler, some case airflow is all you need.

I used this block, its a top performer and cheap.

As said, GFX RAM watercooling is a waste of time really.
