Hi, what is the best budget water cooling kit?

i want to OC E6300 To at least 2.8Ghz and be quite cool.

was originally looking at the big water but its not highly rated here on OCUK.

i was looking into custom but i have no idea what i would be doing where as a kit should be pre-assembled, right?

i have looked into air cooling but thought W/C might be a good idea.
if not i can always get the tuniq on offer atm :D

Cheers
Westy

Swiftech compact 120.2 should be out soon. A better kit than the Big Water. If you have a bit more cash then a custom kit would be better. What is your budget?

i said at least 2.8ghz. my budget would be about 100ish, would the tuniq keep it cool enough at load though? i have a pentium d 820 atm not OC'd and the freezer 7 pro is cold to touch at idle.

just watched the review, and this kit seems ok for the job but i think it will have the same results as the tuniq? 57 load is still quite high. and the h20 120 is £88 not very cheap for the minimal piece of kit.

well, i have been on air for years and im getting sick of it, i am infact considering getting one too tbh. allso that kit will out perform Any air cooler on the market

 I'm RTM'ing your post on the grounds of sacralidge!

But really, fair point, but watercooling is more fun! ;)

LOL...i went from air to water and now back to air:eek:

2.8ghz should be a doddle...and a freezer pro will be up for the job so save your money...i had an E6300 @ 3.45ghz on air....seriously no need for water.

Think of it like this. A water-cooling kit is all the bits from the same manufacturer, even if they are not the best parts for the money. They don't come pre-assembled, just a complete kit of parts. If your budget is £100 then you are looking at second-hand or XSPC.

There is nothing wrong with XSPC, it's just not as good as full-on custom at 2-3 times the price.

The swiftech all-in-one kit is really not that much better than air at the moment, but the 120.2 version should be better.

If you think about it - Swiftech charge £90 for the micro and £200 for the APEX Ultra which does the same thing (cools the CPU block only). There is a reason why one is double the price. It's loads better.
