Maybe im dreaming but if for example i manage to rob a bank or my next door neighbour more likely lol, which would eb the best watercooled GPU to get?

They are expesnive for what they are but if you take off £100 for the fitting of a waterblock (which i cant be arsed to do lol). I dont think there that bad.

Anyway here are my choices;

MSI GeForce GTX 580 HydroGen 1536MB GDDR5

EVGA GeForce GTX 580 *** Hydro Copper 2 1536MB GDDR5

EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Hydro Copper 2 3072MB GDDR5

Im probably getting the MSI GD80 G3 Motherboard as it is Ivybridge ready apparantly, so i figure the MSI GPU would be a natural fit, plus the price is pretty competitive. £400 without taking into account the waterblock.

HOWEVER!!! The EVGA ones have not only a 10 year warranty but also i have used EVGA stuff in the past and liked it.

The GTX 580 *** Hydro Copper 2 1536MB is nice but for an extra like £12 i can get double the mem with a GTX 580 Hydro Copper 2 3072MB.

However the clock speeds are slower, so will i notice the higher speed or the increased memory?

P.s in your answer dont insult me, i know the new 28nm GPU chips are out next year but i if i get my bonus at work im saying to hell with it and getting the best system i can afford now. Besides might get run over by a bus by then lol...

Answers on a post card please :)

Is the 10 year warrenty still valid if i do this?

Otherwise might as well get a cheaper one lol.

Yes, only with EVGA and I believe zotac. However, nearly every company doesn't care if you've liquid cooled, as lon as there is no physical damage to the card itself. It just that EVGA and zotac choose to officially recognise this giving the customer the peace of mind because other brands could decline an RMA if they chose to.

Coolio thanks.

Whilst i have your attention, i know its a little off topic but would the CPU cooler i got with my case fit a 1155 socket i5 sandybridge?

Thermaltake VH600LBWS Armour+ LCS

Or am i being a cheapskate and just get on of the newer CPU water blocks lol?

P.s final question, ive seen the dual flow water blocks where apparantly the water flows twice through the block, are they worth the money?

I would recommend the Hydro Copper block if you want the best performance :) It has a slower flow rate and because of this I haven't seen any other 580/570 waterblock able to even match idle/load temps and this one is full cover unlike the first Hydro Copper version and comes with a single slot bracket and led on the side. It is also chrome plated.

The block is sold separately as well. Card + Block + Backplate should be about a 30 Euro difference for the assembly.

Does it make a huge difference which water block you get?

I was looking at the Nickel plexi one on here but then there are loads more online that brag about dual flow this and effeicient cooling that etc...

I don't think there is a massive difference is performance, some will be a little more restrictive than others, here is a few different 480 blocks tested, it will give u a basic idea of the manufacturer differences on the 580 blocks tho there may have been some tweaks made since these blocks came out.

Massive variables there in those charts lol.

EVGA best in one catagory, worst in another.

Im just gonna get the sexy see through plexi one then lol.
