Hey All,

Been reading up on the whole scene of (mostly) Bitcoin mining, and I've decided I want to get into either the mining of Bitcoins or Litecoins. This obviously can't take place on my main rig as I have a GTX 670, so I'm looking into either an ASIC machine or building my own mining rig.

I understand that ASIC will eventually take over Bitcoin mining, however with Butterfly Labs' ongoing shipping delays I'm not too sure if it's the best way to go, does anyone know if it's worth the wait (apparently orders placed now wont ship at least until July) or would it be worth looking at Litecoins and building a mining rig based on that? Do Litecoins seem like a more profitable way forward over Bitcoins?

Thanks in advance, mods feel free to move this if I've put it in the wrong section :P

well I see BFL have a $270 ASIC for 5GH/s, which isn't too bad, however I'll stay away from them most likely. do you have any more info on that guy's arrest? Also cant seem to find and FPGA's online, and it seems like nobody else can either :/
