Best way of making money from the Net

Have been looking on the net of a few ways to make an extra couple of quid. Found that you can earn money from Affilate Schemes, Surveys, Pay per click etc etc. Does anybody actualy use these and can they provide a form of income?

Looks like they email you when a survey suited to your profile becomes avalible, not sure how often this is though.
