Been told cement all around base at 45 degree angle. What about silicone sealing it etc? Surely that would be same but without the mess?

Pre fab garage I presume, on the base of outside wall I always refer a fillet of cement at 45 degree to shed off the water.

Inside, I would use a bead of General Purpose Building sealant to keep out wet.

Yeh, a pre fab.

Ah, cement on outside and sealant on inside. Figured on the inside.

I'm going to paint the floor before i put the car in - am i ok to just use concrete floor paint or do i have to buy the concrete floor sealant and put that down first?

Don't need sealant, two coats of concrete floor paint ok, thin the first one, allow sufficent time between coats to dry throughly, but usually concrete has to be down for some time to cure before painting, I like to give it a month or so, but it will tell you on the tin, or firm website.

I used this two years ago in my utilty room, lasted well.

says a month per inch of concrete- tomorrow is only 1 week! Think there was about 4" of fibre concrete laid.

It's been 25C+ though so I'm guessing that time might come down to a month as it will cater for British Winters at -5C won't it?

This is the paint http://www.wickes.co.uk/invt/214330

+1 for the leyland stuff. Nice and easy to apply and very hard wearing.
