Hey,
The other night my Netgear DGN2000 router/modem decided to throw a wobbler and totally reset itself back to default settings. Fortunately I had a backup and got it back to normal.

The problem I seem to be having is very slow transfer speeds on my LAN. I noticed as I was using Acronis True Image 2013 to backup to my NAS that it was incredibly slow.

I am concerned that my router might be on its way out so was wondering the best way to test my LAN for throughput speeds etc.:)

Google 'lan speed test' for a simple test utility. Alternatively just copy some data and see what Windows reports for the transfer rate.

The DGN2000 is 10/100 only isn't it? If it is then you're limited to 12.5 MB/sec as an absolute maximum.
