I have an external game hard drive with almost 1.5tb of data and would be quite upset to see it die. My problem is due to price constraints (about £55) I can only really afford a 1tb hdd. Does any one know a way to back up and compress the hard drive to shrink it right down. I know there are plenty of programs but it is typical there are so many things that claim to do it but no way to test them without actually buying the HDD which I don't want to do if it will not compress enough.
