Best way to check used GFX card for faults?

Hi

I was wondering what is the best way to check a graphics card for faults? My thoughts was running some kind of benchmark, but what is the best to run.

So far have no problem with playing games like Doom but while i was playing battle field 2, i got a freeze and was wondering if this is the gfx card. After this freeze nothing have not had any problem?

could it be ram problem on the gfx card and how do you test that?

I ran Heaven benchmark for 10 minutes and no problem.
