whats people preferred method for giving everything a clean?

soak it in the bath

edit:

just incase/ this was a joke

bear in mind some people dunked their iphones after a software update and spoof facebook messages

luckily I have more than 2 brain cells to run together :)

Take it outside and use some compressed air with a makeup brush. If you don't have a makeup brush a soft paint brush will do.

I just use a microfibre cloth in mine and small brush to get away any dust. I also have a datavac aswell which i managed to get for £60. Damn case weighs a tonne so much easier and the thing is damn powerful aswell. Use it for a lot of other things in the house aswell besides the case but it does do a good job at blasting the dust away.

Best way - Carefully take everything apart and hand-clean with non-static cloth and appropriate solvents/solutions/creams/lotions/preservatives...

Preferred way - Out to the garage, fire up air compressor, secure fans, blast the hell out of it with the air duster and combine with a soft ¼" paintbrush.
Remove panels, filters, covers, frames and all removable mods, blast them out separately.

I just replace one of my components, normally when i split my loop to remove the component enough water splashes around the case to give it a good clean.

Henry Vacuum plus can of compressed air. Got mine to strip down and do soon ready for a modest refurb.

A vacuum can cause static which can be dangerous to PC components, so I always earth my case first and use it sparingly, using the compressed air can for the most part.

Yeah, henry hoover as much you can then use a damp cloth for all the bits you can't reach.

Blowing the dust out will only get the big clumps of dust out, it wont get the fine dust.
