Best way to convert VOB to avi?

Howzit guys.

What is the best program to do:

Convert VOB files to AVI files

Join the converted VOB files to one single AVI file.

At the moment, I am using Format Factory, it works okay but it takes a stupid amount of time to convert files. WINAVI used to be able to convert and join VOB files in one go to a single AVI file.

However it doesn't seem to be compatible to Windows Seven?

Any help?

dgindex and MEGUI. as long as they're not encrypted then it'll work well

Have you tried running winavi in compatibility mode? is a question that some people asked and he tried it and said it worked. that was for vista try it with windows 7?

personally i use Gordian Knot but for ease of use i'd recommend Autogk

When ripping vobs, I set to remove the 1gb file limit/split in dvd decryptor or imagburn, this gives a single large vob file.
