Hey guys

Have just done a new install of Windows XP on my laptop - so now have two copies floating around.

Anyways, I want to copy across all the e-mails, the e-mail account settings and the calendar from the old installation .

Whats the best way of doing this ? I still can boot into the old install if needed .

or copy the existing .pst file from c:\documents and settings\%username%\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst from your old machine to your new one

IRC also copy accross the C:\Documents and Settings\cgray\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder or you will lose any custom setting, rules etc.

It will copy your account details over as well but not, IRC, the passwords so you may add them in manually.

Also i would always go the exporting to a pst file route rather than copying it accross as i have seen corrupted pst files that open fine on the old pc but will not on the new one for some reason.

I'd always export just remember to select all folders, also you could try the files and settings wizard and just transport the Outlook part if its possible, been a while.
