My new graphics card just arrived today, but not sure on what I should first:

Uninstall absolutely everything Nvidia related, then turn off the pc, remove the card, fit the new card and then install the new drivers.

OR

Turn off the pc, remove the card, fit the new card, uninstall everything and then re-install new drivers.

I remember the last time I removed my graphics drivers, my mouse and keyboard would not be recognised as they were USB and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get back into the desktop. I don't want this to happen again!

Cheers

It's Nvidia, yeah.

Current is GTX460, new one is GTX760.

I don't have to remove my current drivers for the new card? Won't there be any conflicts or anything?

Okay, so when I installed the new driver and it was booting up, I had signal on the monitor but just before it goes onto windows where I put in my password to login, I had no signal on the monitor. ~30 seconds later it came back on and it was working.

I don't know if this is going to be a one off - if it isn't, what could be causing that?
