Keys?

Joystick?

I have an old Saitek Cyborg, but from reading threads a while back gathered there was a problem with using sticks - you couldn't map the throttle or something.

I'm keen to get better before Vietnam comes out - can anyone offer any advise on kit or on flying in general...

thanks

I haven't played BC2 but if flying is anything like in BF2 then I found keyboard and mouse combinations far better and less fiddly too. As for tips it's really just a matter of practice, more you do it the better you get, just don't start flying on live servers until you feel confident to do so!

As above, keyboard and mouse.

This, coming from someone(me) who plays sims a lot, such as blackshark etc, BC2 helicopters are arcadey, tried it with a joystick, didn't really work well ;)

Cyborg for me, you have to download some .cfg to make it work correctly though, if you dont the axis will mess up and you wont be able to fire etc.

The apache is quite easy to fly m/k its the other one thats a bit more tricky, i just dont fly them as the maps arent big enough to get a proper turn in.

Keyboard and Mouse, standard keys, inverted steering and sensitivity on full!

Just a shame the only helicopter viable to fly is the Apache, the Hind and Blackhawk are just plain ****!

Be-warned, the UAV will be inverted!

Just tried Joystick for the first time and the rudder was reversed, despite having the correct configs in game. What are these .cfg's you talk of?!

ill get them over to you tonight, no, better, ill add them to my FTP and give younz tha linkz yo.

Could never get my cyborg evo to work with it :( cant map throttle and something else, cant remember. Now just use mouse and KB. Does it work with xbox 360 controller?
