Without going in an ambulance :)

I have an apointment there in a few weeks and I will be arriving at Central Station by train and so from there I need help getting to the hospital quickly without it costing me a small fortune.

Thanks in advance

fill in the destination to and from on google maps and set the route to walking?

I would if I had the time, its a few miles as far as I can tell

I won't either then out of unity for notherners :D

Cheers lol, I'm northern too ya know ;)

I'm still at a loss as to why I would have called anybody an idiot let alone Von , It's not like me to call anybody names unless it's banter

Hmm, I am sue it was one of the shoe people who said it but never mind and I was being silly anyway. This link should see you right although a taxi from Central to the Freeman is only a couple of miles and shouldn't break the bank.

If memory serves, I think the Freeman is on a couple of sites so check the address you need to get to.

Ta

I'm guessing a taxi will be £15+ going by the rates over here as it's about 3 miles each way

I'll have to have a look into the bus and metro routes

<10 quid in a taxi depending on time of arrival in central.

Also Cumbria may as well be scottish :p

Nah we're definitely not Scottish :)

I'd need a taxi there and back each visit which would end up costing loads

I'm looking at some bus routes but tbh I only know one or two places in NCL so it's pretty slow going, thats why I requested help :)

Thanks everyone

mrochester that is the kind of info I needed , I will follow your plan :)

any idea if it would it be cheaper to buy a day ticket or just get a return?

Went today and had surgery , gotta say the staff were really nice and looked after me :)

No buses this time as I was anesthetized so had to get a lift home. No need to go back now hopefully :)
