Best way to improve WIFI signal

I have a Virgin Media supplied 'super router' which is fine, I have no issues with it, apart from the signal.

There are black spots in my house on the other side due to what I guess is a range issue.

I have looked at all of these WPS based WIFI extenders and I was wondering if there is a better solution. I had CAT6 wired into all of the walls when I had the house wired and there are network ports all around my house. My question is thus;

Should I just buy one of the extenders which plug into a socket and be done with it?

Or is there a better solution seeing as I have CAT6 terminals around the house which are not being used.

I assume I would be better off with something that would plug into a CAT6 terminal as that would give a direct feed to the internet connection. My fear is that the WIFI extenders are not going to give particularly good performance.

Could someone give me a link to what they would recommend on overclockers?

Cheers guys!

Get a couple of Ubiquiti UAP AC Lite, plug them into the CAT6, turn off the wifi on the virgin router and enjoy good wifi all over your house.

Wifi extenders are rubbish, the Ubiquiti UAPs are proper access points and at £80 each they are as good as you are going to get without paying considerably more.
