Best way to mirror/stream laptop to TV wirelessly

Im looking to essentially mirror my Laptop display on my TV when I'm playing games (possibly movies) and I'm wondering what's the best way of doing this.

Latency isn't really a huge issue, because when I'm playing games I'll most likely still be looking at my laptop screen and just using the TV to mirror it, however it does need to be smooth and not choppy.

Is something like Chromecast suitable for this, or are there better options?

I guess a huge HDMI cable is an option, but if I can do it wirelessly with little to no performance degradation, that would be preferred

I was thinking about recommending the chrome cast.

£30 isn't a lot of money nowadays, you can mirror stream from smartphone tablet or laptop.

Give it ago it is solely wireless which is what you want.

My own experience is chrome cast paired with a smartphone and no choppyness.
