Hi All,

Just got myself an ocz vertex 2 120gb and I want to move my os and currently installed programs, game saves etc onto it. Is there a quick and easy way to do this? I would like to avoid reinstalling everything, I had to do all that just last week!

Thanks for any help!

Clone the OS drive using something like Acronis True Image and then restore it to the SSD.

There used to be a bit of a hoo haa over SSD alignment, but Acronis - and I assume other similar tools - do all the alignment themselves so no extra steps are needed.

You can try and take an image of your HDD and then deploying it to your new drive, though i do suggest that you do a fresh install.

there are a few things you'll need to change manually if you do clone over... such as disabling indexing and defrag etc

New install best and won't take long on your new drive :)
