best way to pack a cpu for shipping without original box?

So im giving my FX-8320 to my brother in law, but ive got to post it to him and ive somehow managed to loose the original box, what would be the best way to package the cpu to post to him?

Just a small box with a load of bubblewrap?

It may seem like a stupid thread to make but dont fancy the cpu getting damaged somehow in the post
 
I would also use some foam to push the cpu pins in to protect them and as you mention plenty of bubble wrap.
