Best way to post a large parcel?

Hey all.
I need to post a large parcel. It is an MX5 wind breaker for a MK1 and is around 1.2m long, 0.2m high and 0.2m deep.

I have only ever used the post office and have never posted a large parcel.

A quick google suggests parcel monkey, which seems like a comparison site.

some post offices take 1.2meter long parcels depending on how much space they have in the back but you would probably be forced to pay for parcel force if you did that

you can use interparcel. They are like a comparison site and you can buy direct from them. I used a city link express service which cost about £13 for a 15kg item approx 90x80x20cm

I always used TNT with parcel2go and never had a problem.

I always used TNT with parcel2go and never had a problem.

I've had that issue with Parcel2Go, or at least TNT were too busy and couldn't make the pickup.

It was a one off issue though, no problem with the other ~15 orders.
