Hi guys.

I have an A4 Sheet of Label paper. In total, the A4 Sheet has 8 labels on it.

I want to print so that each label has a 'DO NOT BEND' message.

I've been trying to get it working in publisher, but the text just isn't comming out into the middle of the label.

Is their an easier method to use?

Cheers

Try the labels feature in Word. I've got some A4 sheets with 8 labels (2x4) and they print fine with Avery product number J8165.

Whenever I've had to do labels in the past, say for my Mum's Xmas cards to friends and family, I'd get some labels and find the correct label code in Word or Excel. Damned printing never lined up with the labels despite Word or Excel having the correct label code. In the end I just counted how many labels there were (how many across and how many down etc), how wide each label was, the gap between outer labels and the edge of the paper, the horizontal and vertical gaps between labels.

Took a bit of fine-tuning but got there in the end. I also found that printing on to normal paper then holding that sheet of paper over the labels was a more efficient way to print. Otherwise I'd be using tons of the more expensive label sheets up. :)

Definitely give the avery code/Word a try. If it still prints out wrong then you'll have to start the tedious process of working out which setting is wrong between Word and the printer driver.

I always use publisher for my labels. I just input the measurements and it gives me a perfect template. Always prints perfectly.

We tend to use the labels section of word - once you get it working remember to save it as a template so that you don't have to mess around again. I did have a set of DVD covers that I just couldn't get to work with word. In the end I went to the manufacturers website and had to use their specific software, which to be fair worked correctly.

Yeh, the Word Labels feature is pretty good. If a code is not available then just enter the correct measurements and it works perfectly. I have finally after many years of trying, got my mum to have an address database table in access and have set up a labels mail merge document so each year she can merge to printer and get a set of labels for xmas cards in one quick fell swoop!

I keep meaning to get my mother setup with this, but always run out of time when Christmas comes along.

I should as well. It doesn't help that my Mum asks me to do this on roughly the last posting day before Christmas for 1st class mail. :D:rolleyes:

Would save her a lot of time. But I bet I'd still have to post the ruddy things for her. :o
