I am currently selling something on another forum. However, I've only ever sold on OCUK where I feel much more comfortable with the people I am trading with.

What's the best ways to receive funds without them being able to make false claims like they can with Paypal etc? I assume only Bank Transfer?

Probably PayPal it has some level of buyer protection but you better read the terms and conditions first.
You are covered by paypal buyer protection as long as you did not send the funds via the send money > family and friends option.

Invoices / money requests and sending goods / services are all covered.

However paypal buyer protection is not a coverall and its best you read up on it to see how you are covered.

You didn't read the thread did you? He is the seller, he doesn't want buyer to have protection or a way to defraud him so to speak.

Unmarked low denomination bills, not continuous serial numbers. Dead drop in an open area with good line of sight, but ensure that instructions for the drop are given last minute to prevent survelliance.

You did say receiving funds for ransoms, right?

Cash, PayPal gift or bank transfer. Nothing else.

I take it you have a nest hello doorbell and CCTV? Keep recordings of them coming and going with the goods on the cloud for a year then delete. So if they do say their bank account was hacked you have video evidence that you sold to them.

What would you advise to secure the drop in?

Any bag for the outer but cash in a clear plastic zip loc bag inside that, that gets taken out on pickup. Got to watch out for trackers and other radio devices.

What if the tracker is inside a stack of notes?

Not easier just to shove the lot inside a Faraday cage inside a bag?

Good point. Bet B&Q have some fine wire mesh to create something.

Bet the OP is glad he asked the question, lots of useful info in here. GD helps again!

Cash or Western Union money transfer. BT payment can be reversed if proved the source was obtained fraudulently and probably PayPal too.

I had a big scare when I bought something of someone with a compromised account.
The bank locked my account without telling me. Only way I knew is my card was declined in a shop!
They basically did that as they thought I might be in on it. Very scary

I was super close to missing salary in and cc payments out.
