Best way to remove protective plastic from acrylic bath

Hi guys. I'm trying to remove the protective plastic from a new acrylic bath tub and it's proving rather difficult. So far I have tried white spirit and a sticker remover but it's not really working. The plastic is almost like cling film. Does anyone have any ideas?

Find an edge and peel it off...
Like you would the protective cover on your phone.

or try hot water. I think thats what i used to remove the protective layer from a new sink I bought a few months ago

It won't Peel off, it just comes off in tiny little shreds

Is it quite cold? Sometimes warming it up will help.

heat it up then find an edge and peel it off , it should all come off in one or two pieces really , maybe peel it slower...

Try pouring a kettle of boiling water over it, leaving it for 5 and then have another attempt

Acetone! I had the exact same problem - I tried hot water, scraping, soaking, and nothing worked. Then I saw a post in a different forum suggesting nail polish remover, and voila! The film peeled right off!
