I just washed and waxed my car but can't find my terry cloths!

Now i've got a waxed car and i've got to get the wax off. I try one cloth but didn't seem to get anywhere, could still easily see all the swirls!

What's the best way to get rid of the wax? Is kitchen roll suitable? (:()

or Should I just wash the thing again and forget waxing until I have the cloths! I don't know if it's a good idea to leave the wax on!

Not got a towel, a soft towel?

Worth a try or re wash it. But even that might not take the wax off.

What kind of wax did you use? As it shouldn't be that hard. Are you using enough elbow grease?

yep, old 100% cotton tshirts make good buffing rags. As for buffing meguiars, make sure you use quite a bit of elbow grease with it. Buff a bit, then turn the cloth and buff it again at least once otherwise it can leave a greasy residue, also regularly shake out the cloth, away from the car though unless you want all the dust to end up back on it :p

Use only Deep Pile Towels or Microfibre towel (which can be had for cheap in TESCO)

Anything else is gonna be cr@p. And leave streaks.

cotton t shirts are scratch machines

the only thing i'd do is re-wash it with a lambs wool mitt if i didn't have microfibres

Megs Gold Class wax(the liquid stuff?)? That should be very easy to remove. Well I find it is anyway a bit too easy.

A towel or an old t-shirt should do the job. Would rather risk some small swirls witch am sure the car will have anywa. Than the car sat in the rain with the wax on it.

With respect, ballcocks. A soft, clean 100% cotton rag works perfectly well. How did people manage before microfibre cloths?
