Looking for advice on the best way to do this - 80's house with creaking chipboard floor and also water damaged in places like bathroom and around radiators.
The chipboard passes under some stud walls as well
Current best idea is to cut close to the stud walls and leave it underneath supporting the wall and then if needed use 2x4 attached to joist to rest the new plywood on if cant get on top of the existing joists.
Also what thickness and grade of plywood is best - bathroom will be tiled so guess that's minimum 18, 22mm or best to use 25mm and use wbp or marine ply for bathroom and wbp for rest of house?
Didn't realise this house needed so much work
ps. Also ideas of where to get plywood for good price most welcome currently best i have found is 39 a sheet for 25mm wbp 2.4x1.2
