I only built this PC in mid March I believe and the boot times we're nice and fast to say I was using my old hard disk. I could be browsing the net within <30 seconds of hitting the on button.

5 months later, and I've noticed it's slowed drastically, especially in the last 4 weeks or so. It can take around 1 minute minimum just to boot Windows then even if I open any programs, they hang for about another 30 seconds to a minute until they work.

So long story short... I've gone from <30 to around 2 minutes in 5 months, I want my quick boot back :) :) :)

Just use sleep mode, or failing that hibernate? 0-30 seconds to resume, 0 seconds to reload apps.

I don't get why people are so attached to rebooting every day.

The best way is to be more carefull when installing.
Most software today is loaded with garbage that runs at startup.

You could do a fresh install but that would only be temporary relief unless you learn how to keep your PC clean.
