best way to secure workstation

which is the best software to secure a computer, I am not the only person that uses the computer, I want to disble system settings, display settings etc etc on my computer for some users, is there any software/function within windows which will allow this?

Start>Run>gpedit.msc

I've never used it before butfrom in there you can set different things up to disable access for certain users.

Wrong. For one, this only works on XP Pro so if he has XP Home, he can't use it. Secondly, you can't specify settings for certain users- everything that you set will apply for all users including the administrator. The only way to set group policy options for specific users is on a domain

You could have a look at this but I don't think it's free...
