Not a common fitment in kit cars (not front engine RWD ones anway), as there is a lack of gearboxes to mate up to the engine. One from a Jag 'S' Type I think fits, but that's about it unless you go for a custom bellhousing.

It's been done in Westfield's before, the engine is quite wide but only a 60 degree V.

http://www.carbuilt.de/3.0.htm And from what my GCSE German can tell, it bolts upto to a MT75.
Only real problem for kit-car builder's is that they're not light, the Ford 2.5/V6 Duratec is 140 kg (308 lb).

As for where to sell, you could try www.locostbuilders.co.uk, www.racedandrallied.com/, http://bookatrack.com/-pC, http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?p=1&s=308

I've seen a couple of locosts with it as well, and it's not a bad choice really, all alloy, plenty of power etc. If the Ford injection system wasn't such a PITA with the silly PATS imobiliser etc. and gearbox availability was a better I'm sure a lot more people woulde use them.

The Pinto was the mainstay of caterfields for years and that weighs 150-odd kg.
