My father has been tidying up and has over 400 issues of New Scientist to sell, from 1999 to present, plus some odd special editions etc, I was wondering what the best method was to sell them.

I thought perhaps ebay, just making a listing and telling people not to bid and to ask for which issues they want.

However the problem then may arise of people only wanting individual issues and some wanting complete years or sets and could end up with a large number of odd issues.

Thoughts?

I dont see there being huge demand for single issues (i really havnt a clue tho) and would leave you with a lot of magazines that are not a full collection.
I would guess that selling them together would be best.

I'm pretty sure someone or some organization (university/library/personal collector) would be willing to pay a fair amount for lot, the collection will loose most of it's value if you sell random individual issues off.. I would try to sell them as a collection and only split them if you find in about a year nobody wants them... :)

It's worth checking ebay but tbh it's hard to put a price on something like that..
