I'm selling a PC, a Compaq Evo to be exact - had originally put 'Local Pickup Only' on my listing but loads of people are asking if I can post it.

What would you guys recommend as the best postage method - courier/standard parcels etc. And also any suggestions as to what is best to pack it in?!

Thanks :)

Bix box with bubble wrap, can get bubble wrap from post office.

use a courier firm, could use royal mail but it will probably be about £30 or so . So a courier would be cheaper.

I got a bigger box, about 10cm bigger than the computer all round and made up a cardboard frame inside to support the computer inside, made out of another cut up box. Then balled up newspaper and filled it with that. It's going to be the £11 Royal Mail package so extra weight with soft packing isn't an issue. I did the same with a 17" CRT monitor :)

11?

I sent a parcle today for some car speakers £14 for 48hr parcel force or £19 for Sd.

about half the size of a computer and waying 2.5kilos.

Parcelforce 48 is looking the most economical yet 'tracked' option.

I reckon about 15kg all in?
