Sorry if this is posted somewhere else, did a quick search and couldn't see it...

Got a 7900XT, just recently got a monitor (Dell G2724D - 165Hz, G/Freesync)....

How should I set this up to make proper use of it? - Since getting the monitor I've mostly been playing ARK: Survival Ascended, VRR/Freesync is enabled, the fps I'm getting is well within the tolerance for that game. (40-60fps and usually showing around 2x the in game fps on the monitor HUD (when below 60fps)

If I was playing a game where I was getting above that, or above 165, how would I set this up to make sure it is locked to VRR/no tearing?

I found the 'Max FPS' option in the adrenaline suite - Should I be setting that at just below the max Hz of the monitor (i.e. 164)?
Is there anything else I should be setting?

Cheers!

You might need to turn on freesync in the monitor menus as I had do that with my LG. I turn on chill in the drivers and set a max fps below the refresh rate. That should be it.

Cheers, Yeah I've turned on freesync in the radeon software as well, it's all runnig fine in ARK, just wondering how I should have it set up for games that will go above the refresh rate of the monitor
