Hi,

I have a PC in my dining room and it streams to my TV in the living room through, what I believe to be, a power-line connection to my router and then wirelessly to my PS3.

I have two other TV's in the house and want to connect them to my PC. I want to acheive a similar setup, without purchasing another PS3. ie I want to scroll through things to watch rather than setting it to play on the PC and then watching it on the TV's.

Whats the best setup for this nowadays?

Regards

lee

WDTV Live?

You could probably pick up a used one for about £40-£50.

Or if you have a more modern TV they usually have built in streaming capabilities, but don't always play all formats e.g. MKV.

cant you stream from your pc? to your tv

use tversity program and create a movie library, then you can scroll through what you want on your tv

How much do you like computers?

I'm planning the same thing without using consoles, and will instead be using a Raspberry Pi to stream from my server straight to my TV.

Yeah it'll take some messing about, but that sounds like fun to me! The alternative is indeed a WDTV Live...as it essentially does the same thing - just not AS 'hackable' as the RPi (it is still hackable though and has a good user base behind it!)

I need to check out my TV... Its a good one, but might be before streaming became overly popular.....

I love computers..... though, that doesn't indicate my ability with them...... I'll check out the Rasberry Pi thing too.
