I have used those double sided sticky pads here and there and after removing them have been left with some left overs that are too stubborn to remove using fingers.

Anyone know of a good non-abrasive solution to remove them cleanly ? the surface is my car dashboard in this instance which had a 3M padded sat nav disk mount on.

Cheers!

Edit* can a mod fix the p in the title please! thanks :)

A hundred different things!

White spirit is most accessible to me so will give that a shot in the morning cheers folks!

Won't WD40 leave a shiny lubricated finish though? I don't have a problem with shiny but my dash is matt see!

Yup it will, and white spirit may do the same. Get down to your local pharmacy and get the 91% isopropyl alcahol. That will evaporate without any residue.

Just don't neck the rest when you are done!

Ah right, the item is called 91% alcohol ?

well, just go to the pharmacist and ask for isopropyl alcahol, when they ask you what you want it for, just say "cleaning". Don't go to the off Licence before hand with a bottle of whiskey in the other hand thou. :D
