Best webcam under £30

Logitech. They have amazing driver/software support. They're CS is also second to none. For PC peripherals, I don't look past them and wouldn't dream of using anything other than Logitech.

I've had many of their cams, all are brilliant!

More support for the Logitech then... I can recommend it too, as I have one. It's the cheapest of the 3 on OCUK too, and closest to your budget. But I would suggest shopping around in case there is a better price to be had...
Try Googling for a product review of each and see if that helps clear things up. You can't go far wrong to be honest!

Thanks for all your responses. I appreciate what you are both saying. But when I have a look around at reviews and things, the Microsoft Lifecam Cinema HD seems to be prefered much more.

It is definitely out of the Microsoft Lifecam Cinema HD and the Logitech C510 HD Webcam.

I just cannot decide!

Thanks :)

I've got a C300 myself, which I'm quite happy with. I've got heaps of Logitech stuff and I've never had issues with any of it though. Can't speak for any of the other models mentioned unfortunately!

I've always used MS webcams and found them very good and the lifecam cinema is next on my list when I upgrade, unless somethign better comes out. WHat will you be using it with?

Hi guys,

I need a new cam - interested in the logitech ones but are their range multi-possitional? My current cam sits on top of my monitor next to my front speaker and has to be angled to face me :)

I'm really interested in the c510 and the c310. Am I missing any?

Currently on an ms vx-3000, which has never worked... properly!

I recently bought the Microsoft LifeCam Cinema HD as my cheapo £5 unbranded webcam's mic had gone and the whole thing was generally a piece of rubbish.

The LifeCam HD is excellent, up and running very easily, unfortunately it seems you have to use an install CD which puts software on your system, but it's fairly un-intrusive and allows you to add effects to your webcam on the fly (much similar to photobooth on a mac) and record video or take photos.

The webcam itself is wonderful quality, which is one of the problems I always had with Logitech, they always just looked/felt cheap to me. It's very small and gives great video/sound, and is easily clipped onto things with a sort of moldable stand that can be wrapped around awkward shaped monitors (very useful to me, my Samsung B2230 has a curved back which made clipping my old webcam on a PITA).

Couldn't recommend it more. Hope this helps.

I have a c270 (logitech) and I love it ! It has an excellent webcam and a brilliant mic paired with it.
