Looking for one to do some videoblogging plus upload some guitar vids to you tube. Both the high end logitechs look good with the Quicksphere at about £85 and the clip on logitech at a similar price. I wonder, does anyone own any of these ? Also is it worth paying lots of money for a webcam and do people think Logitech is the best to go with??
Cheers

I've got a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 and I'm very happy with it, mainly use it for Skype. The unit itself is very compact and the video and microphone quality is superb! It's very simple to get up setup; my one is running on Windows 7 Professional x64 perfectly.

Your question about is it worth the cash, it depends on what you’re going to be using it for, as you've mentioned you’re going to be videoblogging and uploading guitar vids to youtube you'll be wanting good crisp video/audio capture, which this delivers.

Microsoft LifeCam Cinema. 720p @ 30fps, some clearview setting that instantly removes the degradation you get from a dark room and 5MP Stills. Makes every other camera (yep the 9000s too) look like a total joke in image quality. Check out the popular store reviews comparing them or youtube, it's really superb.

I bought that, have issues with installing the software as it just stops installing with the "953691" error and now i have to RMA it due to this.:(

Looked everywhere on the web couldn't find a solution, even tried all of theirs on the site which didn't work and others seem to have this issue.

Using Vista 64 bit so not tried with Windows 7.

I've got the 9000 too, and it is great video and audio quality for normal conversations, but for recording music it's not great. Tried recording some guitar vids for a buddy and at certain volume levels it would get distorted, the audio quality wasn't really good enough. You may want to consider either getting a seperate better quality mike, or a camera with a better mike.
