Best website to use for sharing photos with friends

I have had a look at picasa, but I am not too impressed.

It seems that if you invite people to view 'your' album they are able to upload their own photos there. That is not something I would like.

I have also read that in the terms of service google can use your photos in things like advertising, free of charge - again that doesnt sound very good to me.

What are the alternatives? Flickr?

I want something that is fairly secure e.g only those people I have invited to view an album should be able to view it.

no i really dont like facebook for photos, i dont like it that you can be tagged on a photo in someone else's album. I also dont like it that all your friends can see all your photos. I wouldnt want to impose the use of facebook on other people either!

You can assign it to who gets to see it (Friends, Familys) but people without FLICKR account will need to register and might take a long time to do so if there not computer minded.

Are the photos really sensitive?

No not really sensitive, they are just of my baby daughter, so i don't want random strangers being able to see them.

Have you got a domain & hosting? If so, you could password protect your pictures in a separate directory.

i think your find flickr dose everything you want as said above you can select who can see your photos and who doesn't, and not being funny but there are loads of people that post pictures on there of family and friends even there babies so what have you got against others seeing your baby girl, i'm not having a go i 'm just asking.
