Best Widescreen 19/20 " Monitor

After using a 15 " widescreen monitor at work, im really liking the widescreen space.

I was having a look at whats available, what would people recommend ?

i was thinking of something in either the 19 or 20 inch size. But im worried that some of the 20" panels resolutions might be too big for games.

im looking aswell but also concerned about the res in games.

I imagine you would need to run all games at the "optimum" res which is massive generally and would suffer under anything else?

Also do most games support the 16/10 or 16/9 format?

a lot of games. Source engine games have excellent widescreen modes.

I reckon with xbox360 and ps3 pushing widescreen a lot more, pc games will defo have widescreen options in future.

i was hoping you would put me off I can see me spending £500 on a Dell 24" now.

Are the 19" acer 16/10 any use?
