Hi all,

Just bought a 46" LCD and after some searching around am not sure which cable to get to connect the Wii. Currently just using the standard scart adapter which came with it.

Looking around it seems both the component cable and VGA cable get good vibes. Which would be best for a Toshiba 46ZF355?

Thanks for the advice.

As far as I am aware the Wii does not have a VGA cable, which is a shame, but the component gives a much better image than the standard cables :)

Best official cable is component, although some say third-party VGA leads give a better result.

Just be aware though that even with the best leads, the Wii can still only do 480p, so it's not going to blow you away on an LCD screen (but it's still miles better than Scart/Composite)

Thanks for the replies, I know that there is no official VGA cable. What is the thought of official vs unofficial component? The official seems either very expensive or unavailable.

The VDigi VGA cable gave me much better results than component, and as VGA connections on TVs normally avoid overscan I got a much sharper picture with less jagged edges and the same colour vibrancy.

Thanks for that all, I think an unofficial component will do. Mind you if I spy a VDigi VGA cable for sale I would probably snag that, depends what I see first!
