We use FosWiki, it's good at what it does and a little lighter than MediaWiki IIRC

I don't know PHP or any computer language, just after something basic.
As far as I'm concerned, MediaWiki. It's quite a brilliant piece of software, customisable, easy to install etc.
I guess even if I didn't like it so much, though, I'd still have to use it because of its ability to share user accounts with phpBB. A nice touch.
