I've been using an encrypted volume to store my passwords manually but it is becoming very difficult to manage as my list of passwords grows almost everyday and I've been thinking about using a password manager instead.

I need it to support Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox and I don't mind paying for it if it is a decent system. Obviously I'd like it to sync with the cloud and keep everything secure.

Does anyone have any suggestions at all for what I could use?

This is not exactly what you're looking for., but is a great password manager.

I use KeepassX, with the data file stored on dropbox.
I have various folders for different type of sites and the database is accessible from both Desktop and Phone.
It generates passwords and saves them along with a URL.

Unfortunately there is no integration with browsers, but generally it's a case of once I log in Firefox remembers it permanently, with a master password.

Does Keepass and KeepassX have any relation?

Hmm that is already the solution I have at the moment although I use another program to encrypt the file I store in Dropbox. I mean if all you are doing is storing an encrypted file on Dropbox you can just use GnuPG or Veracrypt to encrypt the file.

It is the browser integration I am really looking for as it is a pain in the arse to constantly have to decrypt the file whenever you want to log into a website you haven't logged into for ages or you need to add a new password to your file.

Edit: Oh and I have to manually backup the file to my NAS just in-case anything happens to my Dropbox account or I get hit with ransomware which might screw up all the files on my computer.
