So, with the whole openSSL issue and everyone being advised to update their passwords for everything, I figured this is finally a good reason to stop myself being lazy and actually get around to doing something secure like using keypass.

What's the best option for using on both windows and android? Ideally free, but if I have to pay a small amount for the smartphone convenience then that wouldn't be the end of the world.

Though how do they work? I assume I have something installed locally that I enter my account password into, and then it just automatically enters my password for me in any website I visit?

Thanks for the replies guys, gone with Keepass for now.

KIA, do you mean just using a key file instead of a password? Is that secure enough?

I've begun setting it up and everything seems to be working so far with transitioning things over. One question for android though. Is there a way to integrate it into the browsers? I'm now using KeeFox for firefox which automatically integrates with keepass to enter the login info automatically, but is there anything similar for the mobile browsers? Or will I have to open up keepass and copy the password to the clipboard when I want to log into any sites?
