Hi guys,

I run a business that requires emails to be answered as quick as possible. I was curious what's the best email client you've come across for windows that has a push sort of setting that fetches emails as soon as they come through and also plays an alarm/sound? I'm currently using roundcube webclient but it's very limited in the sense it only checks for emails every 10 minutes and I can't seem to even get that functionality to work at the moment...

Thunderbird can play a sound, has a tray notification and you can set it to fetch as often as you want.

Brilliant thanks. I'm sure a small google would have found this information but I remember doing this a few years back only to download about 10 very badly put together pieces of software! But I trust Mozilla todo a good job.

I use mailbird. I don't know whether it uses push but I always get email notifications on it first, then phone (stock android mail client) then windows 10 mail app.

I have a hotmail and a rocketmail (uses yahoo) account in use.

Plus the notification sound is a lovely bit of birdsong.

I just couldn't get Thunderbird to work with my email provider so I went for eM Client and it's been brilliant. It plays a sound when new mail is recieved as well as a pop up box in the bottom right corner of the screen telling you who it's from. You can also set the minutes between each time it checks for messages.
