hi everyone so looking to re install windows 11 on my gaming pc and I was wondering what people’s go to tweaks are for optimising there windows for gaming?

I don't recommend tweaking. Just set your privacy settings and only install what you really need.

Not required for just gaming, generally people will run stripped down versions for benchmarking purposes.

Make sure hardware accelerated GPU scheduling is enabled. That's about it. Bar turning off all the bs telemetry etc in the registry and services etc.

Just apply all security updates, keep drivers updated and that should be sufficient.

Don't install the motherboard software, just grab the drivers directly from the manufacturer site, and chipset drivers from AMD/Intel. Amoury Crate, Control Center, Dragon Center, etc. can sometimes use a fair bit of resources in the background and sometimes even cause issues.

Yep, never install the bloatware!

Yeo I never install bloateare etc. what about core isolation do you guys disable that and also disable remote access I’ve read this can boost performance also?

Nah avoid those kind of tips. Makes naff all difference and has a decent chance of breaking something.

I don't have any recent sources to hand for reference, but the overhead required for Virtualisation Based Security on modern systems is a low single digital percentage cost as far as I know. The security benefits that come from it far outweigh the performance cost, and it's quite likely that anti-cheat systems are going to increasingly rely on technologies like it in future so you'll end up needing it turned on anyway.
