Best wired headset under £50-60?

I posted this in Sound City but didn't get a response! Looking down the barrel of a long winter WFH I'm thinking of picking up CSGO again with a few mates. Don't care about music, just a bit of gaming with the occasional conference call for work.

I've got my eye on the Corsair HS60 Pro (mainly for the looks, lol). Is there anything better I should be looking at? Ideally minus the faux leather pads would be awesome, I hate that shiny/plasticy stuff...

You should be able to grab some Kingston Hyper X Cloud for under that, especially if there's any open box/clearance deals knocking around.

After going through half a dozen headsets in about 8 years I’ve discovered there’s no appreciable increase in quality or longevity/durability in headsets at £30 compared to £50 or £60. I found that spending a bit more has got me a better quality headset. I’m still using a se of nearly three year old Sennheiser GSP300’s. The earpads have seen better days but the mic and sound are still spot on. They’re over ear too which means perfect for long sessions.

Which model exactly? Not sure I like the design of those

Looking at the Arctis 1 or 3s. Seem to be very popular no? I like the fact they seem to have foam and not pleather padding. I could get the console version from Agro tomorrow for £50, but I'd need some type of splitter for PC?

I have £25 from work to spend so I'm really happy to pay £40ish myself to get something a bit more durable/better looking!

EDIT: Corsair HS35s on offer for £32.99 on Amazon... seem to have foam pads too.

EDIT2: Mic on those sounds awful judging by reviews. Maybe I'll go for Steelseries Arctis 1?
