Hi
My BB is with BT(fiber),My mobo is EVGA P55 *** and I', running win7(64bit)
I am currently using a netgear usb (wnda3100) but do not always get connected.I'm sure the problem is the usb as my wifes PC has no problem. It's mobo is asus and has built in wifi and is next to mine.
So I want to know what is the best PCI card wireless adapter I can get - easy to use and relieable.
Am I right in thinking these are better than USB.
Or is my problem not the adapter
Cheers

After going through many USB wifi sticks (inc wdna3100 & wna3100) I absolutely rate the dual band (2.4 & 5ghz) Cisco Linksys WUSB600N v2. I think it has been superceeded by the AE1000 which looks similar.

Not sure how good the BT Homehub is, but after getting fed up with the Virgin Superhub with its weak & unstable wifi output, I put the Superhub in modem mode, and attached an Asus RT-N56U wireless router - what an absolutely fantastic bit of kit! Using 5ghz band with the cisco stick on my main pc & my dell laptop, great wireless transfer rates across network (15mb/sec) and rock steady HD movie streaming from my NAS! 5 antenna so that I have 2 seperate networks - one for our phones, and the other for high performance 5ghz for PC and Laptop.

just bear in mind that the router that BT give may be the problem

Really not looking to go with another usb adapter.
Cable or powerline is not an option.
Do I want it to function at both 2.4GHz & 5GHz modes - I really don't know.
I'm not looking to replace my router.

I have a netgear range max DGND3300.
Would it be possible to set this up as a wireless access point.
Picking up the signal for the BT hub .
