Hi folks, my aimon xb arrived today and although the wand is great the mouse isnt so good, didnt realy expect much from it after the reviews. So im looking to get a wireless gaming mouse to use along with the aimon wand, any suggestions. It has to be wireless and preferablya good few thumb buttons:)

what's your budget? The two "best" are the G9x and Mamba (at least, they were when I last scouted reviews), but they're both fairly expecnsive mive - the Mamba especially so.

I dont have a budget as such, ive been looking at the mamba, g700, sidewinder x8 and the mamba looks realy good but at a premium, ive got to take into account i spent £60odd on the aimon aswell. I will check out the g9x mate cheers

can someone tell me where the thanks button is, i had to ask on another forum aswell i would have thought it would be on the right hand side of the post but i cant see it:confused:

The Logitech G9x isn't wireless, I have one myself, when I was using a wireless mouse for gaming I was using the Microsoft X8 wifi mouse. It was alright but went back to wired mice and keyboards as my house seems to interfere with wireless keyboards/mice.

Cheers mate, that counts the g9x out then, need it to be wireless for when im sitting on the couch playing, the pc is in the other room with a usb extension through the wall, but its to far away to plug a wired mouse in.

I have looked at the x8 but it got hammered for its wireless capabilities in a review so ive gone off it, what was your experience with it?

It was alright but not the best, the Razer Mamba at the time was £100+ so I wasn't going to pay that for a mouse. As for other wireless mice, I am not to sure. The X8 was decent, I got a duff early built one and then MS replaced it with a newer rev and it worked fine. Not the best features and slightly on the larger side for gaming mice but not bad. If you can try and find one out and about and see if you can get a hands on with it.

Cheers the review i read was from release i think so i will se i f i can get a review of the later rev.

Thanks for your input mate, apreciated;)

I have a Mamba - it's meant to be the ultimate wireless mouse. However - the battery doesn't make it through a full day's gaming, so you switch it to the optional wired mode. After this happens a few times you leave it wired, which is what I do now. Could have saved about £50 by getting a DeathAdder - so that's my tip.

Hi mate thanks, your the first person ive spoken to that actualy has a mamba. The thing is i do most of my gaming in the other room so it needs to be wireless. i dont mind it being wired when im at my desk tho so it shouldnt be a problem, when you say a days gaming do you mean a couple of hours or 8-10 hours?
